First Aider Information Signs

These are used to notify employees and visitors who the appointed first aider(s) are at any given time and where they can be located within the building.

First Aid Equipment Signs

These will notify the reader where the nearest first aid box, emergency shower, emergency telephone, emergency eye wash kit and so on are located.

First Aid Rooms / Medical Department Signs

These enable the reader to locate the nearest first aid room or medical department.

Emergency Procedure Signs

These advise the reader where all of the above are located and what action to take in the event of an emergency.

Positioning First Aid Signs

Commercial premises usually display emergency procedure signs in communal areas and add directional signage in hallways and corridors to ensure equipment and medical rooms can be located easily from any point in the building.

The amount of first aid equipment, signage and facilities will depend on the size of the business premises and the activities carried out there. Legislation states “an employer should make an assessment of first-aid requirements appropriate to the circumstances of each workplace.”

For more information on how to do this, please read our guide to workplace first aid or contact us to discuss your requirements.
