All of our fire equipment signs are available in standard and photoluminescent (charged by ambient light) materials, and come as either self-adhesive or 1mm rigid plastic.
Our fire equipment signs come in range of sizes. To choose the correct size for your building, consider the viewing distance of the sign (the distance the sign will be read from), the sign height from floor level and the amount of ambient light present. Then choose the correct size that can be read easily in these conditions. Frames are available to suspend signs from ceiling panels when there is a lack of wall space or line of sight is not clear.
Fire equipment location signs should be positioned at a height of 1.7-2m from ground level to the base of the sign. You should have a sign above each piece of fire equipment stating what it is, and above each group of fire equipment you should place a fire point sign.
Above each fire alarm, there needs to be a fire action notice and a fire alarm sign.
Each fire extinguisher in your building needs to have a sign stating the type it is (e.g. water, foam, dry powder, Carbon Dioxide) and there should also be a fire point sign positioned above it.
Fire safety signs need to be easy to find in the event of an emergency, and they are required by law. Your individual requirements will depend upon the size and layout of your building.
